Biography

There isn't much to write yet, since the purpose of this website is to follow the progress of a book about Roberta. I don't talk much about what I'm doing; I used to, and as a result a lot of misinformation is floating around.

If you check the web, you will probably find that a lot of people believe Roberta was really a young lady named Rosma Grantoviskis. She wasn't. They had many things in common, they lived in the same city for a couple of years, and I think they knew each other. Unfortunately, I shared some of my research prematrurely a couple of years ago and now even Wikipedia is spreading the error. In fact, there were four women whose lives I researched, including Rosma.   

Roberta called herself Roberta Pedon for the four years I know she was living and working in California, although she also used other names. She had perfectly valid i.d. under several names, and actively worked to create both an air of mystery and a biographical trail almost impossible to follow. 

One thing you can be certain about is that the story of her written by magazine editors was not true. She could speak unaccented English, although she did often affect an accent. She was, after all, an aspiring actress.
